Golden Tate: Week 8 Fantasy Outlook

RotoWireContributor October 23, 2013

While there are still rumors putting Percy Harvin on the field, Tate should still remain the No. 1 wide receiver for the Seahawks this week. Harvin may be ready to get out there and take a few snaps, but with the game being played on turf, the team probably doesn't want to take any chances with him. That puts the ball in Tate's hands for much of the passing game.
The Rams defense allows an average of 247 passing yards per game and have permitted 12 touchdowns through the air so far. On top of that, they rank dead last in the league against opposing No. 1 wide receivers and allow an average of 98.7 yards per game to the position. With the consistent targets Tate sees and the soft match-up, he could put up a very strong fantasy points total this week, particularly in PPR leagues.
