Hall of Fame jockey Calvin Borel is in stable condition and is suffering the effects of a concussion after being unseated from his mount during a race Wednesday at Keeneland Race Course.

Track officials have confirmed that Borel went down when his mount, Sonic Dancer, suffered an injury during the day's sixth race, per The Courier-Journal. At this time there is no word on why the maiden broke down, but Borel was sent from the horse and suffered a leg injury.
