LeBron is not going to leave Cleveland in the summer of 2010, and there are several reasons why.

First of all, he will have so much at stake in his career if he leaves a team and town that loves and needs him so much.

The Cavs were so irrelevant for so long until LeBron came into town. If he leaves for New York than he will have to start from scratch rebuilding the team. The Knicks are still in the NBA right?

What if LeBron leaves for New York and never even wins a championship there?

LeBron already has a championship-caliber team that he helped mold and is a part of, and he likes the team, the guys, and the city in which he plays.

Don't get me wrong, I think New York is great, but why didn't Phoenix win a championship when D'Antoni was there? His team didn’t play defense.

You can win a lot of games by outrunning opponents and scoring 150 points a night, but if the other team scores 130 than you have an issue with defense. Everyone knows that defense wins championships.

If LeBron does in fact leave his throne for New York, then Clevanders will reminisce over what could have been just like when the Browns moved to Baltimore.

Dwayne Wade also signed a short deal to become a free agent in 2010, so maybe he will come to Cleveland. It would be like Jordan and Pippen. I don't think that anybody would stop them if that happened, not even Shaq and Kobe in their prime.

These are reasons why LeBron is not going to leave the city of Cleveland.
