C.J. Spiller: Week 8 Fantasy Outlook

RotoWireContributor October 23, 2013

Spiller is coming off a brutal Week 7 game against Miami in which he picked up just seven total yards on nine touches (six carries for 11 yards, three catches for a loss of four yards). It sounds as though he's still quite questionable for this week's game in New Orleans, and even if he's ready to go, his workload may be severely limited once again.
Spiller's ankle injury has been murder to his fantasy value. He's only played a combined 44 snaps in the last three games; for comparison, he saw 44 snaps in one game back in Week 2 against Carolina. Though he managed to be productive with just eight touches back in Week 5, it seems like his ankle is getting worse, not better. He's best benched this week unless you've got no other choice.
