Fred Jackson: Week 8 Fantasy Outlook

RotoWireContributor October 23, 2013

Jackson missed practice Wednesday with a knee injury -- presumably related to the issue that made him briefly leave Sunday's game against Miami -- but it seems likely he'll play through the ailment, as he has been all year. He's a solid start against a middling New Orleans pass defense in Week 8, as he promises to carry a large portion of the load with C.J. Spiller still hurting.
While the injury problems have reduced his yards per carry -- it's been 3.5 or lower for three straight weeks -- he's still delivering the goods in the pass game, catching a consistent four passes just about every week, and he actually had a season-high 49 receiving yards last week. Spiller's ankle may keep him out of the game altogether, which could result in Jackson seeing as many as 20 carries, though Tashard Choice will factor into things as well.
