Jeff Cumberland: Week 8 Fantasy Outlook
Cumberland had a quiet line -- three catches on seven targets for 41 yards -- in Week 7 against New England, but he could have had a much bigger day had he reeled in a couple more of the catchable passes sent his way. His Week 8 draw comes against a Bengals team that's in the middle of the pack as far as defending the tight end, so Cumberland is likely headed for another day in the range of 40-60 yards.
Hands have been the biggest thing holding Cumberland back at this point, as he's shown the ability to separate downfield and produce yards after the catch at times, but isn't always bringing in the passes that he ought to catch. Meanwhile, Week 8 will be the third of Kellen Winslow's four-week suspension, so Cumberland only has two games left to make an impression as the full-time tight end.
