There hasn't been much argument in recent years with regard to the SEC being the best conference in college football. SEC schools have won the last seven national championships, and the conference has always been revered for its depth.

However, this year has been shaky for the powerhouse conference, as the ACC and Pac-12 have been stellar this season.
