Throughout this season, Manchester United have had another fantastic season.

They have won the FA Community Shield, the Club World Cup, the English Carling Cup, and the Barclays Premier League and now have their sights on Rome to win their second straight Champions League Final.

Throughout this season, United have had amazing seasons from Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Carlos Tevez, but their defense has been the best part of the team by far, as Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidić and Co. have been great in front of Edwin Van de Sar this season, the main reason why they have been so successful.

But in mid-March, United started to lose control of their season, as they lost 4-1 at Old Trafford to Liverpool, and lost at Craven Cottage the weekend after that 2-0 to Fulham, as they lost their control on the Premier League. But in stoppage time against Aston Villa on April 5, Federico Macheda scored a marvelous goal in his debut as a Red Devil, winning the game 3-2, and giving United control of the league again as they won it in early May.

However in the Champions League final, Manchester United are going to have to accomplish multiple tasks to ensure their protection on the Champions League trophy.

The first thing is to make sure the entire team is healthy, as Rio Ferdinand must be able to play for United in the final (which seems very likely).

The second thing is to make sure their defense plays an extremely strong game as they will need to play a near perfect game against Barcelona's three giant goal scorers in Messi, Eto'o, and Henry.

The third thing they will need to do is to contain Lionel Messi as much as possible, as he is their biggest playmaker, and the key to their success. If they don't, catastrophic events could ensue for United.

The fourth thing that must be done is to have a strong attack out of Ronaldo, Rooney, and whoever else will be playing for Sir Alex, as they could control the game on offense against the weakened Barcelona defense without Éric Abidal’s and Daniel Alves, both suspended for the final.

And the fifth and final thing that Man Utd needs to do to ensure victory is to play just like they did against Arsenal in the semifinals as it could ensure them victory with their strong play.

Finally, if Manchester United could do all of these things effectively, they will have a great chance of winning their second straight Champions League final, and have yet another European Double.
