The Bears tried to say Goodbye, but the Redskins said Helu this past Sunday. The backup running back rushed for three touchdowns in the 45-41 victory. He has become an intriguing option due to the combination of his red zone touches and pass-catching ability.
Helu is the back of choice for the Redskins in their hurry-up offense, and received the same amount of carries as starter Alfred Morris against the Bears. Though Morris rushed for 84 yards, Helu had three touchdowns inside the red zone. On the downside, this week's opponent, the Denver Broncos, are allowing the fewest rushing yards per game at 77.1 yards per tilt. However, if the 'Skins fall behind early, Helu will be the primary pass-catching back. He has flex appeal as a result.
