Arsenal star midfielder Jack Wilshere left Tuesday's marquee match against Bundesliga adversary Borussia Dortmund with a right ankle injury.

John Drayton of the Daily Mail reports that Wilshere was hurt in the first half and tried to play through the pain, before being pulled for good not long after the intermission, in the 58th minute.

Drayton also notes that Santi Cazorla came on in relief of Wilshere, who was seen on the substitutes bench with his leg raised and ice around the ailing ankle.
