Dale Earnhardt Jr. could get his first win in 2009 this weekend. Earnhardt starts 27th in tomorrow's race at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

In 19 starts at Lowe's, Earnhardt has one pole, five top fives, and nine top 10s. In his debut on May 30, 1999, he led 312 laps.

Last year, he led 76 laps and finished fifth in his first run with Hendrick Motor Sports.

Earnhardt Jr. is currently 18th in points and is only 89 points behind 12th-place Carl Edwards.

Hopefully Earnhardt Jr. can give owner Rick Hendrick his 180th. Hendrick leads all car owners in the modern era and ranks second all-time in wins.

Last week in the All-Star Race, Earnhardt Jr. started fourth and finished 10th. He also ran clean without a lot of problems.

Hopefully he'll run strong and get his first win in '09. I believe that if Earnhardt Jr. could get his first win, his problems should work themselves out.
