Matches Fans Can’t Miss
Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton
The biggest match of the night will be the WWE Championship bout between Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton inside the Hell in a Cell structure. As if the main event needed anymore intrigue, the special guest referee will be Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.
Bryan looked incredibly strong to close the go-home edition of Raw this week, and that usually indicates the opposite coming to fruition Sunday night. Whether Michaels does it on purpose or accidentally, Bryan will lose the title at Hell in a Cell due to interference from HBK.
Orton has done well in the heel champion role, but this storyline has been and should remain about Bryan being cast aside by Triple H and the underdog’s journey back to the top.
The future is very bright for Bryan, but Hell in a Cell will be all about getting the belt around the waste of Orton and moving these two combatants away from each other.
Predicted Winner: Randy Orton
John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio
After leaving WWE programming following SummerSlam to have surgery on a torn triceps, former champion John Cena returns to the company at the Hell in a Cell PPV to challenge Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Cena is the biggest star in the business today, and his return to the PPV without appearing on television prior to the event has created a frenzy over his appearance. With speculation whether he will win the match or if he will show up at all, there is genuine interest in the world title scene.
There hasn’t been excitement around the belt since Del Rio won it.
The WWE is making a great move not only adding Cena to the card but also by infusing him into the World title scene. The face of the company could easily go after the WWE Championship again, but Cena’s chase of the World Heavyweight Championship brings legitimacy to the secondary title.
Add in the increased PPV buys, and this is a very intriguing matchup.
Predicted Winner: John Cena
