Rob Gronkowski: Recapping Gronkowski's Week 7 Fantasy Performance

RotoWireContributor October 21, 2013

Gronkowski hauled in eight balls for 122 yards as he struggled through his return to the starting lineup Sunday in the Patriots' 30-27 overtime loss to the New York Jets. He was targeted a whopping 17 times, as Brady was locked in on him throughout the afternoon.
Despite the impressive numbers, there were a few signs to indicate the enormous tight end will need a few more weeks to return to full strength. As hard as it is to nitpick a player who posted the stats he did, Gronkowski would have had an even bigger day if fully healthy. Among the nine unsuccessful targets, a couple were balls he would have tracked down last season. Expect the numbers to grow as he rounds into form.
