After entering the game in the fourth quarter to replace the injured Sam Bradford, Clemens completed 2-of-4 passes for 19 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. With word coming in that Bradford will be out for the rest of the season, Clemens is expected to take over the team's starting quarterback job for the rest of the year.
Clemens' most extensive action came in 2007 when he started eight games for the Jets and threw for 1,529 yards with five touchdowns and 10 interceptions. While Clemens will be afforded the opportunity the start again, the team is expected to reach out and sign a veteran free agent to potentially compete for the starting job.
