Final:  Giants 23 Vikings 7.

The New York Giants dominated the game against the Minnesota Vikings in winning their first game of the season.

Eli Manning finished 23-of-39 passing for only 200 yards, but he did not throw an interception for the first time this season. He did throw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Rueben Randle. Peyton Hillis, making his season debut, scored the other touchdown for the Giants on a three-yard run. Hillis gained more yards than Adrian Peterson in this game.

This was an ugly game for the Vikings. Their only score in the game came on an 86-yard punt return for the Vikings in the first quarter.

Josh Freeman making his debut for the Vikings completed only 20-of-53 passes for 190 yards and an interception. Peterson had his worst game of the season finishing with only 28 yards on 13 carries.

The Giants have some hope as they travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles who are 3-4 on the season.

The Vikings have to host the 4-2 Packers who are leading the NFC North.
