Dexter McCluster's Updated Fantasy Outlook in 2013 After Week 7 Performance
Talented utility speedster Dexter McCluster hasn't been a factor in fantasy football thus far this season, but he showed glimpses of promise in a Week 7 victory.
McCluster had his best game of the season on Sunday against the Houston Texans in terms of receiving. He caught four passes for 70 yards on the day, and notched two carries for four yards.
McCluster stepped up at a huge time for the Chiefs. Up 17-16 near the end of the third quarter, they faced a 3rd-and-21 and swung a quick screen out to the speedy wideout. He took it 43 yards for one of the biggest plays of his season.
It hasn't been a fantasy season to remember for McCluster, as Sunday was the first time he passed the 50-yard plateau in receiving yards. He's always dangerous in the return game and can take one to the house at any given moment, but not enough to completely translate to added fantasy value.
If you have any interest in McCluster in your fantasy league, you'll want to make sure he is a valued part of the pass offense. Otherwise, it will be hard for him to get enough opportunities.
