Mike Glennon and Vincent Jackson's Fantasy Outlook After Week 7
Mike Glennon’s and Vincent Jackson’s performances in Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons have Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans asking, “Josh who?” again.
Tampa Bay may have lost by the score of 31-23, but its QB-to-WR production should not only inject optimism into its fan base, but upgrade that quarterback and wide receiver in the minds of fantasy owners. Glennon passed for 256 yards and two touchdowns while Jackson reeled in 10 receptions for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
Those stat lines are similar to their numbers last week against the Philadelphia Eagles. Glennon threw for 273 yards, two touchdowns and an interception while Jackson caught nine balls for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
One explosive performance wasn’t enough to consider Jackson a must-start after just five catches for 61 yards in his previous two games combined. After back-to-back displays of domination, though, he’s a must-start, even if he dominated subpar pass defenses. Owners should also feel safe starting Glennon against the league’s worst secondaries, but nothing more—for now.
