Eddie Royal Returns from Injury to Score Diving TD vs. Jaguars
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Eddie Royal returned from a toe injury on Sunday in Jacksonville and wasted little time reminding NFL fans and fantasy owners why he's so valuable to the Bolts' offense.
Royal scored his sixth touchdown of the season and first since Week 2 in the second quarter, covering 27 yards en route to the end zone. Royal showed off his athleticism on the play as well, making an explosive dive for the pylon, per ESPN's Eric Williams on Twitter:
#Chargers WR Eddie Royal's 27-yard touchdown was his sxith on the year, but first since Week 2.— Eric Williams (@eric_d_williams) October 20, 2013
The touchdown is not only phenomenal news for the Chargers, but also for fantasy owners who have been waiting for weeks now for Royal to deliver the same level of production he was during the first two weeks of the season when he scored five touchdowns.
Royal, who has been quiet since Week 3, didn't catch a single pass in Week 6's win over the Indianapolis Colts. He's owned in only 45.3 percent of all ESPN fantasy leagues coming into Week 7's matchup with Jacksonville.
