James Jones Injury: Jarrett Boykin Will Be Superb Fantasy Option in Place of Banged-Up WR
Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones is expected to miss Sunday's matchup against the Cleveland Browns while he recovers from a leg injury, according to FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer on Twitter:
James Jones NOT expected to play later. Gronk is active. Blackmon in as well— Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) October 20, 2013
As a result, fantasy football owners should be looking at Green Bay's Jarrett Boykin as a potential starter for their fantasy lineups in Week 7. With Randall Cobb already out for the next few weeks with a fractured fibula, and Jones likely to be sidelined this weekend, Aaron Rodgers will have very few experienced options to rely on in the passing game.
Rodgers' No. 1 option Jordy Nelson is sure to have another big game, but Cleveland's defense will be looking to blanket Nelson at every opportunity. That's where Boykin comes in. He was targeted six times last week against Baltimore and turned his one reception into a 43-yard gain.
The second-year wideout is available in most leagues across the country and is an excellent short-term option for owners in need of a boost at wide receiver or the flex spot.
