    Another week, another series of star performances. The latest span of high school football action featured sensational efforts on both sides of the ball from members of the 2014 recruiting class.

    From Florida to California, we keep an eye out for top individual games on a weekly basis. Here's our latest look at the best of the bunch from a memorable weekend of national competition.

25. 4-Star S Allen Artis (Marietta, Ga.)

    Versatile defensive back Allen Artis ranks among the top ball hawks in Georgia. The 6'1", 195-pound Wheeler High School standout rose up with a momentum-changing play in a game his squad eventually lost in overtime to Walton.

    Artis picked off a pass and returned 68 yards to paydirt and added several tackles, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He committed to North Carolina in June after weighing offers from Boston College, Clemson, Stanford and Ole Miss.

24. 5-Star RB Sony Michel (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)

    American Heritage High School running back Sony Michel didn't need many touches to make an immense impact against Key West. He helped power the Patriots to a 48-7 victory.

    Michel rushed for 122 yards and two scores on just seven carries, according to the Miami Herald. He is committed to Georgia.

23. 4-Star QB Jerrod Heard (Denton, Texas)

    Denton Guyer standout Jerrod Heard had his way with Lake Dallas before exiting early in the second half of a 66-3 win. The 6'2", 190-pound quarterback threw for 84 yards and a touchdown while showing off his rushing abilities, according to the Lewisville Leader.

    Heard gained 109 yards on the ground and added two scores. He committed to Texas prior to his junior season.

22. 4-Star QB Treon Harris (Miami, Fla.)

    Booker T. Washington quarterback Treon Harris has few rivals when it comes to versatility. He showed off those skills by using his feet and arm to pick up a 21-9 victory.

    Harris burst for a few crucial runs while passing for 206 yards and his 15th touchdown toss of the season, according to MaxPreps. He is committed to Florida State.

21. 4-Star QB Sean White (Hollywood, Fla.)

    University School quarterback Sean White played well in another team victory. The 6'2" 205-pound passer completed 12 of 17 throws for 245 yards, per the Miami Herald.

    White tossed a pair of touchdowns in a victory over Glades Central. He is committed to Auburn.

20. 4-Star QB Jacob Park (Goose Creek, S.C.)

    Stratford High School quarterback Jacob Park lit up Wando on Friday night in a 35-7 win. The 6'4", 205-pound passer picked apart the defense en route to another sterling effort.

    Park completed 18 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns, according to The Post and Courier. He is committed to Georgia.

19. 3-Star RB Gregory Howell (Miami, Fla.)

    Running back Gregory Howell had a dominant game against Miami High, a major rival. He led Coral Gables to a 37-0 victory, as the team leaned on his capable rushing abilities to gain separation.

    Howell carried the ball 18 times for 113 yards and three touchdowns, per the Miami Herald. He is weighing offers from Minnesota, Florida Atlantic and Buffalo.

18. 5-Star RB Joe Mixon (Oakley, Calif.)

    Freedom High School running back Joe Mixon maneuvered around and through the opposition on Friday night. He carried the football 33 times in a 28-21 win over Heritage, according to 247Sports.

    Mixon gained 143 yards and found the end zone twice. He is considering offers from Oklahoma, Wisconsin, California and Oregon, among others.

17. 4-Star DE Richard Yeargin (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)

    Defensive end Richard Yeargin wreaked havoc on Glades Central, helping his University School squad clinch a district title. He piled up three sacks in a victory, according to the Miami Herald.

    Yeargin has hunted down opposing quarterbacks with consistency throughout his high school career, earning offers from throughout the nation. The 6'4", 230-pound defender committed to Notre Dame in August.

16. 3-Star WR Coray Keel (Snellville, Ga.)

    South Gwinnett High School wide receiver Coray Keel put his versatility on display in a 28-21 win over Grayson. The 6'3", 190-pound playmaker presented major matchup issues and stayed in sync with quarterback Josh Shim.

    He hauled in three touchdown passes in the victory, including a 62-yard strike. Keel committed to Indiana in September, selecting the Hoosiers from an offer list that included Illinois, Kansas State and Purdue.

15. 3-Star QB Hayden Sphire (Suwanee, Ga.)

    North Gwinnett quarterback Hayden Sphire had his way against Habersham Central. The 6'2", 200-pound passer picked apart the opposing secondary early and often en route to a 41-0 win.

    He completed 20 of 26 pass attempts for 277 yards and three scores, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Sphire holds an offer from Jacksonville State and has drawn interest from Memphis and Arkansas State.

14. 2-Star LB Justen Tatum (Dallas, Texas)

    First Baptist Academy standout Justen Tatum enjoyed quite an evening on Friday. The linebacker helped his team remain unbeaten throughout a 52-0 win over Highlands.

    Tatum tallied 26 tackles in the victory, including a sack, according to the Dallas Morning News. He committed to UTEP in May.

13. 4-Star QB Keller Chryst (Palo Alto, Calif.)

    Palo Alto passer Keller Chryst continues to play like one of the nation's elite. He was efficient and explosive in a 55-21 win over Saratoga.

    Chryst completed 13 passes for 240 yards and four scores in the victory. He is committed to Stanford.

12. 4-Star RB D.K. Buford (Oxford, Miss.)

    D.K. Buford bullied New Albany on both sides of the ball Friday night. The 5'10", 190-pound running back scored four touchdowns in a 44-7 win, according to MaxPreps.

    Buford also recovered a fumble and returned it 34 yards. He committed to Ole Miss in February.

11. 3-Star WR Quincy Perdue (Marietta, Ga.)

    Lassiter High School standout Quincy Perdue punished defenders throughout a Friday evening matchup with Milton. He headlined an offensive air raid in a 31-3 victory.

    Perdue had three receptions for 201 yards and three touchdowns, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He committed to Troy in July.

10. 3-Star QB Peyton Bender (Fort Lauderdale, Fla)

    Peyton Bender pilots the offense for Cardinal Gibbons High School. He was excellent throughout a 31-30 victory over Miami Jackson.

    The 6'1", 170-pound quarterback threw for 312 yards and four touchdowns, as his squad clinched a playoff berth. Bender committed to Washington State in March.

9. 5-Star QB Will Grier (Davidson, N.C.)

    Star quarterback Will Grier continues to put up numbers in bunches at Davidson Day. The 6'3", 180-pound passer picked apart Charlotte Country Day en route to a thrilling 42-35 win.

    Grier completed 23 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns, per MaxPreps. He is committed to Florida.

     

8. 5-Star RB Dalvin Cook (Miami, Fla.)

    Dalvin Cook put his skills on display yet again against  Miami Northwestern. The star running back propelled Miami Central to a commanding 44-13 win.

    He picked up 234 yards on 19 carries in the contest, including a 91-yard touchdown burst, per the Miami Herald. Cook committed to Florida in April.

7. 3-Star ATH Erick Neal (Dallas, Texas)

    Erick Neal erupted for a dominant performance on Thursday night, when his Lincoln High School squad crushed Jefferson, 63-7. The versatile offensive weapon torched Jefferson's coverage in the passing game.

    He snagged 10 passes for 199 yards and four touchdowns, according to the Dallas Morning News. Neal, who is also a basketball standout, will continue his athletic career at UT-Arlington.

6. 5-Star RB Royce Freeman (Imperial, Calif.)

    Running back Royce Freeman carried Imperial High School to a 29-10 win over Brawley. The 6'0", 215-pound playmaker picked up his team with several scintillating plays.

    Freeman found the end zone four times, rushing for 267 yards on 29 carries, according to MaxPreps. He is committed to Oregon.

5. 2-Star RB David Hood (Absecon, N.J.)

    Running back David Hood erupted for several big plays Friday night, highlighted by a monstrous first half. The 5'10", 185-pound Absegami High School prospect surpassed the 200-yard mark before intermission in a 41-7 win over Egg Harbor Township, according to the Press of Atlantic City. 

    Hood finished the contest with 262 rushing yards and five touchdowns, including a 90-yard sprint. He committed to Temple in June.

4. 5-Star RB Nick Chubb (Cedartown, Ga.)

    Star running back Nick Chubb led unbeaten Cedartown to its latest win. He rumbled all over the opposing defense in a victory, carrying the ball 36 times, per MaxPreps.

    Chubb picked up 355 rushing yards and five scores in the contest. He is committed to Georgia.

3. 5-Star QB Kyle Allen (Scottsdale, Ariz.)

    Desert Mountain High School star Kyle Allen completed 27 of 33 pass attempts in a wild win over Skyline, according to MaxPreps. His heroics lifted the team to a 50-49 win.

    Allen accumulated 355 yards and five touchdowns through the air. He is committed to Texas A&M.

2. 4-Star QB Deshaun Watson (Gainesville, Ga.)

    Gainesville High School quarterback Deshaun Watson is one of the most accomplished members of the 2014 recruiting class. He set the Georgia State record for career passing yards as a junior and continues to play at the top of his game.

    Watson accounted for six total touchdowns (three passing) in a 56-28 win over Clarke Central, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He committed to Clemson as a sophomore.

1. 4-Star QB Shuler Bentley (Duncan, S.C.)

    Shuler Bentley stayed hot with an impressive performance against Gaffney. The Byrnes High School quarterback completed 19 passes for 357 yards and five touchdowns in a win, per MaxPreps.

    It was his fourth straight game with at least five touchdown tosses. He committed to Old Dominion in May.
