Daily Fantasy Baseball Allows Stars to be Drafted Every Day!

Fantasy baseball has taken on a new look at 365fantasysports.com.  Instead of a season-long proposition that only pays off six months after you've put up your money, fantasy players can now get paid off every day of the season...if your roster out performs that of your competitors.

Traditional fantasy sports leagues have been and will continue to be wildly popular, as well they should be.  Keep your eyes and ears open however for the newest trend in fantasy sports...daily fantasy sports.

In your traditional leagues, access to the star players is limited by the traditional draft methods.  With the daily games, however, you have the opportunity to pick up guys like Pujols, Longoria, Bay and Mauer every day.

Selecting your roster for the day is incredibly quick and easy.  Buy-ins and payoffs on the site should be familiar and comfortable to most casual fans as well as hard core sports bettors.  (Most contests operate on a 10% vig...for example, in a two person contest, each would post $11 and the winner would be credited with $20)

One of the best attributes of 365fantasysports.com is the variety of contests offered.  Below is a quick summary of each.

  1. Positions - In this contest, players will find draft rounds filled with a large selection of players by position (in the first round, you are selecting a catcher from a list of catchers only.  Then 1B, 2B, etc...)  While there may be a disparity of talent within each draft round, daily contests make you really consider every aspect of that day's match-ups. (Over the course of a season, Pujols may be the obvious choice for 1B, but in daily contests other 1B's may be more attractive)
  2. Hardball - This contest really makes you think.  Each draft round is filled with players that are very closely ranked.  You can only select one player from each round.  (Think "A" players, then "A-" players, then "B+" players...)
  3. Points Cap - Similar to the Positions contest, but now each player is assigned a "point value" based on their current statistics relative to each other.  The points cap prevents you from selecting all of the top players at each position.  Different point cap levels are offered each day...each presents a unique challenge when selecting your roster.
  4. All-Stars - The newest addition to the 365fantasysports.com line-up.  This contest could have been called "A or B".  20 of the top players in MLB have been broken down into ten draft rounds.  Two players per round.  You have to select one from each round.  Sounds easy, but wait 'til you see the match-ups in each round.  You'll pull your hair out trying to decide "this guy or that guy".

So here we are at the beginning of the summer.  Fantasy hoops and hockey are done.  Football is just around the corner.  Its all about baseball for the next couple months.  Use this time to supplement your fantasy fun (and maybe your income as well) by checking out the various daily fantasy sports contests at 365fantasysports.com.

Fair warning:  Daily fantasy sports contests are habit forming and may cause lack of sleep (especially when West Coast games go into extras...)
