Mendenhall carried the ball 13 times for 22 yards and a touchdown against the Seahawks on Thursday. The touchdown was his third of the season and second in his last three games.
Rumors have been circulating for weeks now that Mendenhall's job is in jeopardy and he's now averaging just 40 yards per game this season with a dismal 3.1 yards per carry after this performance. The only thing working in his favor right now is that current back-up Andre Ellington fared no better in this game. That should give Mendenhall another opportunity to prove himself next week when the Cardinals face Atlanta.
