Matt Birk was a staple at center in the NFL for 14 seasons, gaining six Pro Bowl invitations and two All-Pro honors before retiring after winning a Super Bowl ring in 2013. His playing weight was 310 pounds.

He's since hit the gym, and the results are quite clear. He has lost 75 pounds and 10 inches from his waist.

Says Birk (hat tip to baltimoreravens.com),

"All I knew was being big. Now I’m not so big and I’m loving it. I think I’ve really developed a lifestyle that I can sustain now. I feel great physically, and I’ve got tons of energy. It really has changed my life that I used to know."

Birk is in the running to be the next Vi Model, which would mean he would be featured on the cover of The Challenge Magazine and become the poster boy for Body By Visalus, a company with the mission of ending obesity.
