Andy Murray is due to pick up an OBE on Thursday morning, but he may well keep the Royal Family waiting after revealing he has been delayed by the drugs testers.

Professional sportsmen and women have to inform the testers of their whereabouts to ensure they are available for random testing.

There have been many wild and wacky stories of testers turning up at inopportune moments, and Murray can now add his name to the list.

He tweeted this on Thursday morning:

In the middle of a drug test hahaha I'm goin to be late!!!

It did not take long for the tweets to fly in—one from fellow British tennis player Dan Evans.

@andy_murray good timing from them!!

It will be a memorable day for Wimbledon champion Murray, who is currently on the mend following an operation on his back, and it will also be memorable for Prince William.

As reported by the Herald, this will be Prince William’s first investiture ceremony.
