Golden Tate: Week 7 Fantasy Outlook

RotoWireContributor October 16, 2013

Though he is the most-targeted receiver in the Seattle passing attack, Tate has averaged just under four receptions and 44.8 yards per game while finding the endzone just once all year. He'll look to improve on those numbers when the Seahawks face a Cardinals defense that allows and average of 260 passing yards per game and has given up 10 touchdowns through the air.
Tate isn't your prototypical No. 1 wide receiver and comes off more like a possession guy than an actual threat to stretch the field and put up big yardage. To make matters worse, while the Cardinals pass defense has given up a number of yards this year, they actually rank third in the league against No. 1 wideouts and are allowing an average of just 67 yards per game to them. He's a much better fit for PPR leagues than he is for standard scoring.
