The game of football and the NFL have changed dramatically over the past 30 years. Whether it is the style of play or the economics surrounding the league, players today experience something very different than the legends that came before them.

What are those differences, and what has managed to stay the same?

Behind the Mic contributor Howie Long entered the NFL in 1981 playing for the Oakland Raiders. Bleacher Report asked Howie to tell us what he thinks has changed in the NFL over the years, as well as the things he experienced during his time that still remain true today.
