Mendenhall has had a rough go of it this season, averaging just 43.2 rushing yards per game and finding the endzone just twice in six games. It doesn't figure to get much better this week as he'll face Seattle's ninth ranked run defense on short rest this Thursday.
Mendenhall is still listed as the Cardinals lead running back, but the team has been incorporating Andre Ellington into the offense more. Ellington is handling third-down work and all passing down options while Mendenhall continues to try and get things rolling between the tackles. The loss of work, the relative ineffectiveness and the match-up against one of the league's best defenses all point towards keeping Mendenhall on your bench this week.
