David Freese Injury: Updates on Cardinals 3B's Ankle, Likely Return Date

St. Louis Cardinals third baseman David Freese suffered an injury during Game 3 of the NLCS on Monday night, and he was replaced by Daniel Descalso. 

The MLB Network's Alanna Rizzo first reported the news:

Daniel Descalso in game to PR for Freese. Freese removed from game with apparent injury. #NLCS

Scott Miller of CBS Sports provides the specifics: 

Freese left with right calf tightness. Day to day.

Game 4 is Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET and Freese expects to play, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale.
