If You Always Wanted to See a Bear Play Tetherball, Today Is Your Lucky Day

It's no cute cat video, but this video of a bear playing tetherball should sufficiently placate the Internet masses for the foreseeable future.

One big tip of the hat and general genuflection to Deadspin for spotting what has to be the best video ever created when it comes to animals playing obscure playground sports.

Now there isn't a great deal of information surrounding this bear going full Napoleon Dynamite to pass the time, but it's not like you really need a cool backstory to spice this three-minute video up to epic levels.

If animal GIFs are more your speed, spend the better part of the day watching this.

As a side note, this is exactly what I would imagine Chris Kaman playing tetherball might look like.

In any case, the YouTube description states this moment of tetherball mastery comes from Animal Ark in Reno, Nev., and directed us to the organization's website.

Per the "About" page, the organization states its reserve opened in 1981 and has since provided "a safe haven for injured, abandoned and otherwise non-releasable wildlife."

That seems like a noble cause, but it also seems like Animal Ark is quietly breeding an army of super bears that will beguile and later dominate with their tetherball ability. That might just be paranoia though.

We do have to remind that this is hardly the first time an animal has brought its A-game to the Internet. Recently this polar bear was spotted dribbling a basketball underwater.

There was also this sea otter that has no qualms entertaining with its sizzling slam dunks.

So really this is all a lot of silly guff that will hardly transform the sports world but will undoubtedly entertain for hours. (You all were watching these videos for hours, right?)

The only thing this confirms is animals are better and far more coordinated at sports than I am. With that, a very happy video yields a very sad realization.
