Davis caught eight passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns during the 49ers' 32-20 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. He saw a season-high 12 targets in this one and tied a career-best in receiving yards, a mark he set back in the playoffs of 2011.
After missing Week 3 with a hamstring issue, Davis has bounced back to catch 13 passes for 286 yards and four touchdowns over his last three games, including an impressive 61-yard touchdown catch in this last one. He's seen a steady increase in targets since his return to the field and will continue to post a strong value so long as he remains one of Colin Kaepernick's top two targets. Things may get tenuous at some point as the 49ers lack a true No. 2 wideout, so defenses will key in on Davis more than usual and start cutting off his routes, and therefore his value, much the way it happened last season.
