The Arizona Cardinals are losing in the waning minutes against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6, but they might have a bigger potential loss on their mind after star defensive lineman Calais Campbell needed a stretcher to leave the field after a scary injury.

The injury was known to be serious from the start as head coach Bruce Arians went out on the field to be by Campbell's side. Arizona's official Twitter account documented the event:

While Campbell was being helped from the field, he gave the fans an encouraging sign:

Campbell returned to practice on Tuesday, Oct. 15, and is active for Week 7.
