Final: Bengals 27, Bills 24
The Cincinnati Bengals faced the Buffalo Bills today at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Cincinnati started the scoring off first by taking the ball down the field on its first drive and gaining three points via the leg of Mike Nugent. Buffalo was quick to respond on its first drive as Thad Lewis led the Bills down the field before rushing the ball for a touchdown.
The Bengals were quick to respond in the hostile environment as Andy Dalton found A.J. Green for a beautiful pitch and catch on the next drive. Cincinnati wasn't done there. After stopping Buffalo on fourth down, Cincinnati took it all the way down the field and got a shifty touchdown out of rookie back Giovani Bernard to extend the lead.
In the second half the Bengals wasted no time getting on the board again as Dalton found Jones for a touchdown. Buffalo finally manged to respond in the fourth quarter as Thad Lewis hooked up with Scott Chandler to bring the Bills back within seven.
Lewis was in no way done after that, as he found receiver Marquise Goodwin for a touchdown with a little over a minute left in regulation. The score took the game to overtime, where Cincinnati was able to win via a field goal from Nugent.
