What the Red Sox Need to Do to Take the Next Step in the ALCS

In all seriousness, the Sox are showing the rest of MLB just exactly what class, depth and pitching can do for you in the postseason. Arguably the most well-rounded team left in the playoffs finally finished off a pesky Tampa Bay Rays team on Tuesday night in the Division Series.  

MLB contributor Gabe Zaldivar offers his assessment on the team’s strengths and weaknesses as they look to take the next step toward another World Series title. 

Boston will come into the ALCS with solid starting pitching, a bullpen that continues to show how stout it can be, and an offense that can heat up at any time. Still, there are some issues to consider.
