Kenbrell Thompkins: Week 6 Fantasy Outlook

RotoWireContributor October 9, 2013

Just when it looked like Thompkins was ready to turn the corner following his explosive 127-yard effort against Atlanta in Week 4, things came crashing back down to Earth, as he saw just five targets in Week 5, catching three of them for all of 16 yards. Still, patience is advisable for Thompkins owners, as he figures to be more involved in the vertical game this week against a New Orleans team that can put up points in a hurry.
The return in full of Danny Amendola and the potential return of Rob Gronkowski complicate the receiving situation in New England, but arguably in a good way for Thompkins -- those two should draw plenty of attention from safeties and linebackers, leaving Thompkins in one-on-one coverage a lot of the time. He's not more than a WR3 or flex play at this point, but that's still something.
