Austin has seen an average of seven targets per game over his last three contests, but given the fact that he has just a 35.7-percent catch rate over his last two, the chances of him seeing even a similar number of targets this week are pretty slim. Add in the fact that the Texans pass defense has allowed the fewest passing yards against, things don;t appear to be looking up for the rookie receiver.
Austin is a key member of the Rams' return team and both he and the team seem to be focusing more on his performance there than as a receiver. He has the ability to be a highly-productive wideout down the road, but the rookie year seems to be more of a learning experience than anything else. Houston gives up an average of just 18.4 yards per game to opposing No. 3 wideouts this year, so Austin is not a recommended start this week.
