It's been said that this week's world football hero could have either ended up as a Premier League superstar or in prison. Thankfully, West Ham's Ravel Morrison appears to be on the more virtuous path.

Once described as the best thing to come out of the Manchester Utd. youth academy since Paul Scholes, Morrison has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the past.

Now, the 20-year-old has given the world a glimmering example of his huge potential in the form of a superb goal in the Hammers' 3-0 win over Tottenham at the weekend.

For generating positive media attention and getting his career on the track to stardom, Ravel Morrison is out Hero of the Week.
