The Detroit Tigers made it as far as the World Series in 2012. This year, they’re one of the key favorites to not only go back to the World Series, but to win it this time.
But between now and that possible fate lies work that needs doing, and B/R MLB Lead Writer Zachary D. Rymer has some thoughts on what it will take for the Tigers to go far in the postseason.
One thing involves something the Tigers are already doing well. Without giving too much away, here’s a hint: It concerns what they’re doing on that little hill in the middle of the infield.
But then there are the things that the Tigers need to do better. To that end, there’s considerable pressure on the two big boppers in the middle of their lineup.
