The Onion Bag: Redknapp's Revelations and Mourinho's Modesty

Ryan BaileyFeatured ColumnistOctober 7, 2013

Welcome to The Onion Bag, your number one bi-weekly source for the weird and wonderful stories from world football.

Today we kick off with Harry Redknapp, who has been laying the literary smack down on the FA in his new autobiography. According to The Guardian, he claims the governing body have "no clue" how to run the game and no idea how to pick a good manager. Which might have something to do with the fact that the QPR boss was spurned for the England job.

Next we look at Jack Wilshere, who has finally admitted that hanging out with his friends Benson & Hedges was a mistake, per John Drayton of the Daily Mail. But now that the Arsenal midfielder has found his scoring boots, should he keep on smoking?

And finally, we look at a man who doesn't know the meaning of the word hubris: Jose Mourinho. The Chelsea boss, via, has reminded us of his brilliance in several ways this week.
