Hello everyone. As always I would like to take the time to thank you for reading my latest ramblings.
A while back I decided to do a top 100 list of greatest grapplers.I started the list and it was met with so, so responses.
They were valid complaints, so I decided to put the project on the side and do more extensive work on it.
I felt the time is ready to unleash my top 100. I listed my top 100 not only on wrestling ability, but also the impact it had on pro wrestling.
I hope to please, surprise, and educate some people. Please note this list is not in any order as to avoid who should be over who.
Who am I to say who is better then who anyways.
This list will also be a ten part series, my biggest project to date.
Without any further adew I give you " Matt's" top 100 grapplers of all time .
Buddy "Nature Boy"Rogers
This clean cut Grappler started his career in the 1950s. He had a natural build and look for the world of professional wrestling.
He was one of the main pioneers during the beginning of the television era. Buddy Rogers feuded with other greats like Lou Thesz, Killer Kowalski, and Ed "The Strangler" Lewis.
Besides helping wrestling become big on televion, he went on to be NWA champion for some time. He also was WWWFs first heavyweight champ.
The Fabulous Moolah
One of wrestling's queen of the rings. Moolah started her career in the late 1940s.
She not only went on to become the women's NWA champ in1956, but Moolah also held NWA tag team gold.
At one point Moolah was the ladies NWA champion for eight years.
Moolah also went on to break sex barriers by becoming the first women allowed to wrestle at MSG.
Bobby "the Brain" Heenan
While Bobby Heenans in ring career was nothing to write on about. However, their is no doubt in any ones mind the impact he made in wrestling.
Heenan Broke into wrestling in the 60s. He didn't really make a name for himself until he joined the AWA though. He later went to the WWF where he only grew bigger.
He has managed such greats as Andre the Giant, Nick Bockwinkel, and Big John Studd just to name a few.
He is also famous for his announcing work. As he and his long time friend Gorilla Monsoon went on to form a unforgettable duo.
Mick Foley
Whether you prefer him as Cactus Jack, Mankind, Dude Love, or Mick Foley. This hardcore legend went on to pave the way for hardcore standards today.
He began his career in the early 1980s but didn't make a name for himself until the 90s. His work in Japan and WWF is world renown.
Foley has taken bumps and stunts that many wrestlers today wouldn't dare think of doing. Some of his most brutal matches came against another harcore legend in Terry Funk.
He went on to feud with the likes of the Rock, Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin and many other greats. Foley is still going on strong and is the TNA champ today.
Chyna
Chyna trained at Killer Kowalskis school with Triple H. She made her debut in the WWF in 1997. She started off at first as a valet for Triple H.
