Each team will be given a point total for its specific ranking.
For example, the team that is ranked No. 1 is given 19 points, while the last-place team receives just one point.

Week 32 Result: Loss to Chicago, 3-0.
Perhaps D.C. were suffering from a U.S. Open Cup hangover or they just crashed back down to reality on Friday night in their loss to Chicago.
Ben Olsen's side will now head into their match with Philadelphia on Saturday with a nine-match winless streak that may not be broken by the time the season ends.

FC Dallas finally ended their three-match losing streak against Real Salt Lake, but they could only manage a draw against a team that played with 10 men for the majority of the match.
Kenny Cooper scored a 72nd-minute equalizer for Schellas Hyndman's club to earn a point that did absolutely nothing to help the playoff chances of the Hoops.

The Earthquakes had the weekend off to prepare for their match on Wednesday with Colorado that will have massive playoff implications.
Currently, San Jose sits four points behind Colorado for the final playoff spot in the West.
To say Wednesday's match is a must-win is an understatement.

To stay in the Eastern Conference playoff race, Chicago needed to take care of business against D.C.
They did just that and then some in the nation's capital as they took down the worst club in the league on Friday night by three goals.
With three matches remaining, the Fire sit two points behind Philadelphia for the final playoff spot in the East.

Fans of the Whitecaps may not be able to celebrate a playoff berth this season, but they will be able to celebrate the spectacular golazo scored by Camilo on Sunday night.
After netting a free kick in the 76th minute, Camilo scored two minutes later on an overhead kick that left everyone in attendance awestruck.
As for where they stand in the playoff race, the Whitecaps are six points behind Colorado, who they play in their final two matches, for fifth place in the Western Conference.

One minute the Revolution were still in the mix for the playoffs and the next they were three points behind Philadelphia with three matches to go.
The hearts of New England were broken by Tim Cahill as the New York midfielder scored in the 97th minute to turn Saturday's match at Red Bull Arena into a draw instead of a win by the Revs.
Jay Heaps' side need nine points from their final three matches to make sure they will contend for the final playoff spot in the East.

Montreal's playoff chances took yet another hit on Friday night as they fell to the Dynamo in Houston.
While they still sit in fourth place in the East, the Impact have not won in four matches and there is no end to their winless streak in sight.
If they want to secure a playoff berth, the Impact will have to defeat New England at home on Saturday and then follow that up with another win against either Los Angeles, Philadelphia or Toronto in their final three matches.

The Brazilian designated player, who has not seen much time on the pitch this season, entered the Union's match with Toronto in the 79th minute. Sixteen minutes later he delivered the most meaningful goal of the season for the club.
Kleberson's 95th-minute free kick boosted the Union into the final playoff place in the East with a very winnable match against D.C. coming up next week.

Week 32 Result: Win over Montreal, 1-0.
Ricardo Clark's sixth-minute strike vaulted the Dynamo into third place in the East.
With the win over fourth-placed Montreal, Dominic Kinnear's club kept themselves away from the melee for fifth place for another week.
Houston can inch closer to second place in the East on Wednesday if they take down Sporting Kansas City at home.

The Sounders were embarrassed in Colorado on Saturday as they lost by four goals to the Rapids.
Sigi Schmid and company will have to forget about the loss quickly as they face two critical matches in the next week against Vancouver and Portland which could go a long way in deciding their playoff seeding.

What a night it was to be at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
The Rapids unleashed five goals on a visiting Seattle side that did not expect such an offensive outburst from Oscar Pareja's side.
The victory helped Colorado move closer to clinching a playoff berth as they now sit four points ahead of San Jose with three matches left.

Week 32 Result: Win over Chivas USA, 5-0.
The Galaxy bounced back from their four-match winless streak in style with a five-goal trouncing of Chivas USA.
Landon Donovan scored his 133rd and 134th goals of his MLS career to tie Jeff Cunningham at the top of the list for most goals in league history.
Robbie Keane also scored a brace and Gyasi Zardes netted a goal himself in the victory that took away any doubt of a late-season slump continuing into October.

Ike Opara's 17th-minute goal helped Sporting take down Columbus at Crew Stadium on Saturday night.
The win put Peter Vermes' side closer to New York at the top of the East where the lead is now two points because of the draw by the Red Bulls.
Sporting will now take a trip to Houston on Wednesday without some of their stars like Matt Besler and Graham Zusi because of international commitments.

Week 32 Result: Draw with Vancouver, 2-2.
The combination of Darlington Nagbe and Will Johnson handed Portland their two goals against Vancouver.
Nagbe and Johnson both recorded a goal and an assist in the Cascadia Cup showdown at BC Place.
With first place in the West still within reach, the next two matches for the Timbers against Seattle and Real Salt Lake will determine whether or not they can win the conference title.

Week 32 Result: Draw with FC Dallas, 1-1.
Playing with 10 men at home, Real Salt Lake could only manage a draw with FC Dallas.
Unlike the other clubs with plenty of internationals, RSL will not have to worry about playing without stars like Nick Rimando and Kyle Beckerman because they have off next weekend.

Tim Cahill came to the rescue once again for the Red Bulls as his 97th-minute header earned a last-gasp point at home against New England.
Thanks to Cahill's heroics and dropped points by RSL and Seattle, the Red Bulls still have a one point lead in the Supporters' Shield.
The draw also clinched a playoff berth for Mike Petke and company.
