Luke Joeckel Injury: Updates on Jaguars Star's Ankle, Likely Return Date

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Luke Joeckel left Sunday's Week 5 game against the St. Louis Rams with a right ankle injury.

After the 2013 No. 2 overall draft pick couldn't leave the field under his own power, a cart was brought out to assist his exit, per the Jaguars' official Twitter:

The account then confirmed the specifics of the injury, noting Joeckel would undergo X-rays and that it was doubtful he would return. He was then downgraded to out shortly thereafter:

Luke Joeckel has a right ankle injury and his return is doubtful. Is getting X-rays. #Jaguars

Luke Joeckel's status has been downgraded to out.

Following the game, the Jaguars announced the extent of Joeckel's injury:
