Luke Joeckel Injury: How Loss of OT Will Affect Maurice Jones-Drew and Jaguars Stars
Rookie tackle and No. 2 overall pick from the 2013 NFL draft Luke Joeckel has left the Jaguars game against the Rams due to an ankle injury and he won't return, per the Jags official Twitter feed.

That's a big blow for an already struggling offensive line that has led to the Jags' ineptitude on the ground in 2013-14. As a team, the Jags are averaging only 49 yards per game on the ground, good enough for No. 31 in the NFL.
Adding to their woes, Jacksonville has allowed the second-most sacks of any team in football and not having a top tackle on the line will leave quarterback Blaine Gabbert even less time to get rid of the ball.
This is bad news for Maurice Jones-Drew, who is struggling to get any semblance of a ground game going for his team this season. Jones-Drew was having problems already as evidenced by his failure to break 50 yards in a game with only one touchdown in four contests.
Things will only get tougher from here for Jones-Drew, especially if he tries to break a run to the outside.
