From John Oehser of Jaguars.com:
Cecil Shorts III is questionable, but he'll play.— John Oehser (@JohnOehser) October 6, 2013
Jaguars later confirmed that Cecil Shorts is active:
Cecil Shorts had a breakout season in 2012, totaling 979 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. While he has not gotten into the end zone this year, he still has a team-high 337 yards, which ranks 16th in the NFL.
On an 0-4 team that ranks dead last in total offensive yards and points, he was a rare bright spot.
One positive for the Jaguars, however, is that second-year receiver Justin Blackmon is set to return to action following a four-game suspension. Blackmon should be able to pick up the slack in the struggling offense, which will allow Shorts to better attack the opposing defense and find holes in the coverage.
