World Football Hero of the Week: Arsene Wenger

This week's World Football Hero is a manager who was regarded as a villain by a large contingent of his own supporters until recently. But, once again, Monsieur Wenger has proved to us all that Arsene Knows Best.

Arsenal took on high-flying Napoli in their second Champions League 2013/14 group stage game this week, with many expecting a dominating performance from the Italians, who boast Gonzalo Higuain—the man whom Wenger attempted to bring to the Emirates in the summer.

However, Higuain didn't play, and the Gunners cruised to a memorable victory over Rafa Benitez's side. What's more, Arsenal now find themselves at the top of the league with their first genuine shot at being title contenders in a long time.

Right now, the French coach is proving his doubters wrong, and he has reportedly been rewarded with a big-money contract extension.

For turning Arsenal's fortunes around, Professor Wenger is our Hero of the Week.
