Cristiano Ronaldo: More Than Happy at Manchester United
Following a fresh batch of reports linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, the United winger has claimed it makes him mad to read the incessant rumors about his future.
The Portuguese star is currently having the best season of his career, and is only two goals away from breaking the 40-goal barrier. And with a second consecutive Premier League title as close as two games away, there is no reason for Ronaldo to leave.
Real Madrid are rumored to be lining up a record-breaking transfer fee of 120 million Euros for United’s leading scorer, but Ronaldo claims he his not interested in leaving Old Trafford.
“I’ve said it a thousand times and, by now, people should realize I’m totally happy at United,” he said. “I’m in the form of my life and I’m having the season of my career so far. So it makes me mad sometimes to read some of the things which are supposed to be related to my future.”
Manchester United’s assistant manager Carlos Queiroz has also reiterated United’s intentions to keep Ronaldo at Old Trafford for as long as possible.
“We would not sell him for 120 million euros,” Queiroz said. “You can offer all the money in the world, but there is no amount that can buy him.”
It appears that nothing, not even 120 million Euros, can tempt Manchester United or Cristiano Ronaldo to part ways.
This will be music to the ears of all United supporters who, just like Ronaldo, have probably become irritated at the continuous reports linking Ronaldo with a move to Spain.
So if you’re fed up with the rumors about Ronaldo’s future, just know that you’re not the only one. Even Manchester United’s number seven has become exasperated by the unrelenting rumors.
