Pirates Fans Chant 'Cue-To!' at Johnny Cueto, Bring Back Memories of 'Darryl!'

Tristan ThornburghSocial Media StaffOctober 2, 2013

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Johnny Cueto lasted only 3.1 innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NL Wild Card Round game Tuesday and gave up four runs, two of which were solo homers, including one to Russell Martin, which can be seen below.

While the uncharacteristically poor outing may have been just postseason jitters, another possible theory is that the Pirates fans' chants of "Cue-to" throughout the start of the game got to Cueto. The taunting can be heard in the Martin video.

Those chants brought back memories of another famous taunt, which came at the expense of New York Mets great Darryl Strawberry.
