Are Arsenal Genuine Champions League Contenders?

Will TideySenior Manager, GlobalOctober 1, 2013

The visit of Napoli to the Emirates Tuesday was billed as Arsenal's big European test. Rafa Benitez's team, unbeaten in Serie A and having defeated Borussia Dortmund first up in the Champions League, were expected by some to reveal the Gunners' flaws.

Not a bit of it.

Arsenal were dominant. They dictated the play and produced an opening salvo as convincing as any you'll see this season.

Mesut Ozil was brilliant. Aaron Ramsey continues to play like 2013's answer to Bryan Robson.

The Gunners won 2-0 and would have been further clear had they not moved into cruise control. They were that good they could afford to.

But, are they really genuine Champions League contenders?

Where can I comment?
