Indianapolis Colts veteran wide receiver Reggie Wayne shredded the Jacksonville Jaguars secondary in Week 4, racking up 100 yards and one touchdown receiving on five receptions in Indy's 37-3 win, per Colts.com's Kevin Bowen on Twitter:
Wayne had been quiet over the past two weeks against Miami and San Francisco but has made it clear that he's worth hanging on to in 2013. He's been targeted at least six times in every game this season and is on pace for eight touchdowns.
While he and the Colts offense will have a challenging matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5, upcoming games against San Diego and Denver should present golden opportunities for Wayne to thrive. The Chargers and Broncos both rank inside in the bottom three in the league in pass defense and are giving up boatloads of yards through the air in 2013.
It goes without saying that Wayne isn't going to surpass 100 yards each week, but he's Andrew Luck's most reliable option downfield and will continue to play a major role in Indy's aerial attack.
Moving forward, there's no reason to sit Wayne outside of his Week 8 bye. If you're looking to trade him, make sure you're getting a 1,000-plus-yard receiver in return or another consistent fantasy option.
