UPDATE: Sunday, Oct. 13
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports the Titans continue to discuss the possibility of trading Kenny Britt heading into the trade deadline later this month:
The Titans have talked to several NFL teams regarding struggling receiver Kenny Britt, according to sources with knowledge of the situation, but have been attempting to get a third-round pick for him, or a combination of picks equal to a third rounder. Other clubs have found that price to be high, sources said, with them viewing Britt, given his off-field issues, expiring contract and lack of any recent production as valued more like a fifth-round pick.
Kenny Britt has generally been productive when he’s on the field, but has dealt with numerous injuries and off-field issues during his stint in the NFL.
He’s struggling through the first three games of 2013, hauling in just five receptions on 16 targets for 43 yards. He’s yet to find the end zone and had one of the worst performances of his career in Week 3, recording no stats with zero targets against the San Diego Chargers.
Injury could be the reason for the Rutgers product’s decline. Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean noted that Britt is playing with a slightly fractured rib and has likely been surpassed on the depth chart by rookie receiver Justin Hunter.
Britt will miss the Titans' game with the injuury, per Paul Kuharsky of ESPN:

Britt was a first-round draft pick and has flashed the talent of one—notably racking up 42 receptions for 775 yards and nine scores in 2010—but can’t seem to find consistency at this stage in his career.
Tennessee may find that the market for the talented but troubled wideout is limited not only by his recent failures on the field, but also largely due to his checkered past.
According to Dan Hanzus of NFL.com, Britt has been involved in nine separate known incidents involving the police since the 2009 season and has had to speak with commissioner Roger Goodell on two occasions about his behavior.
He was suspended one game at the onset of the 2012 campaign after being arrested for suspicion of DUI.
There are a handful of organizations reportedly in the market for a receiver—notably the Detroit Lions after Nate Burleson’s arm injury—but it is currently unknown what the interest level surrounding Britt is.
Britt is set to play in Week 4 against the New York Jets and could be featured a bit more than usual, especially if the Titans are serious about dealing him before the Oct. 29 trade deadline.
