Why Jordan Cameron Will Be No. 1 Fantasy TE for Remainder of 2013
The Cleveland Browns have a strong defense, but its their tight end, Jordan Cameron, who deserves a lot of attention right now.
Cameron grabbed everyone's attention last week. The 25-year-old had six receptions for 66 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner in the final minute. He led the Browns to their first win of the season.
He entered Week 4 with 269 yards and four touchdowns. His performance Sunday should only help his stock. Cameron finished with 10 catches for 91 yards and a touchdown.
Quarterback Brian Hoyer doesn't have the strongest arm, so he needs targets close to the line. Defenses focus on Josh Gordon, who is an explosive talent. That leaves Cameron open most of the time or in favorable matchups.
Now that Trent Richardson is gone, the Browns will be looking to throw the ball more. With Cameron stepping up, Cleveland has to feel confident that it can move the football.
Gordon will be covered by the opponent's top corner, so Cameron will continue to be Hoyer's top target. His stock continues to soar, and fantasy owners should have him in the lineup every week.
